OP3Nvoice, the London company that last year moved to Austin has become one of six startups accepted to participate in BBC Worldwide Labs, 2014. Ironically, the company met BBC executives at SXSW Interactive.
BBC Interactive provides acceleration for companies chosen for their natural alignment with BBC Worldwide’s existing business units and international brands. It integrates them into the BBC ecosystem. OP3Nvoice, whose platform makes audio searchable, maintains a team in London which has relocated to BBC headquarters for the duration of the program .
Said co-founder Richard Newton who is heading up the project in London, “We are investigating, with the BBC, how Op3nvoice’s search technology can be used in news gathering, video consumption, on the iPlayer (the UK version of Hulu), legal moderation of increasingly video based commenting activities, contextual advertising, efficient video production and editing.”
